With your collaboration and contributions, the S.F. Bay Area Chapter is defining the movement and building the field, starting right here in the Bay Area! Now is a great time to join one of our chapter committees and help support social enterprise.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE: brings together organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area that offer programs relevant to the Social Enterprise community. The program committee offers a platform for these organizations to streamline events, gatherings and programs by fostering collaboration and cross-polination. Members of the program committee plan and manage all aspects of the chapter's public programs, including setting direction for the chapter's programming, designing and planning each event, providing all necessary resources (venues, presenters, refreshments, logistics, participant materials, etc.), drafting program announcements and collecting feedback from attendees. Join the Program Committee.
MEMBERSHIP & COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE: establishes and maintains relationships with chapter members. This committee manages member benefits, member recruitment, and outreach to members and the community; this includes managing social media, publicizing chapter events, informing members of chapter activities, providing members with opportunities to interact, initiating new member benefits, and managing the member database. Join the Membership Committee.
NEXT GENERATION ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE: establishes and maintains relationships with the next generation of leaders. This committee brings the voices and the ears of emerging leaders into the conversations of SEA by recruiting new members and opening opportunities to cross-pollinate with established leaders members of SEA. Members of the next-gen committee act as a liaison with the chapter's university partners. The chapter's board of directors has a seat designated for a leader of the next generation, who simultaneously serves as co-chair of the next-gen committee. Join the Next-Gen Committee.
OPERATIONAL PARTNERS AND TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE: attempts to bring together organizations, tools, and service providers that serve the social enterprise eco-system. The aim is to find opportunities for collaboration, hoping to make Social Enterprise more accessible and readily available for leaders interested in it. Join the Partners and Tech Committee.
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS COMMITTEE: offers a deliberative platform for members to explore and agree on their legislative and advocacy needs. This committee helps members find like-minded people who are interested in pursuing similar conversations with local and state governments, hoping to unify voices and streamline efforts. Join the Government Relations Committee.
Each Committee Chair acts as an information hub for the committee, facilitates a collaborative space for members to actively participate, oversees all activities managed by the committee, schedules and plans regular meetings via conference call or in person and works closely with the chapter's Board of Directors to set the committee's agenda and report on committee activities.
